I cannot believe there is only one day to go! I just wanted to wish you all a very happy last night at home before our fantastic Big Experience.

See you all at school at 8:30pm tomorrow night. Don’t forget to see Mr Barr when you get there to check your name off the list 🙂

One more sleep…

Well, it looks like Melbourne has turned on its weather charm to allow all of us who are jetting off to Fiji a little chance to get acclimatised!  Can’t believe we have just one more sleep to go until we are jetting off on a trip of a lifetime!  I for one am so excited, as I’m sure you all are too!  I’ve spent the day collecting Australian souvenirs, stationary and little gifts up together to give the villagers and just can’t wait to meet them all!

The next time a blog appears on this site, it will be from one of you lot in year 9, telling everyone about all the amazing things you are experiencing!  Can’t wait…

See you all tomorrow night!!

Miss Thompson 🙂

Bring Aussie coins to give away

You may have already heard this suggestion.

Last year, lots of Chinese people we met in the street- or anywhere- expecially teenagers and children, asked us if we had any Australian coins. This year, I’m saving lots of small coins to carry in my daypack . It’s fun interacting with local people- they’ll often ask you to be in photos with them.

Mrs Strong joins the Warriors!

Hello fellow Warriors. I am now Mr Jolly! I’m joining you at the last moment because another teacher became ill and that meant re-arranging some staffing across the trips.

This will be my third visit to China. I backpacked around when I was much younger and it will be great to see the knock out scenery in Guilin again. We didn’t visit this area last year on the China Big Experience. You’ll want to take so many photos- pack a camera battery charger!

I am looking forward to travelling with you.

I hope you all like rice………….
